THE Fish
WhitingThe sand Whiting is a native fish to Cape York and Further south including Coochie. They are found around sandy areas within estuaries and Bays. The sand whiting is commonly found around 26 cm in size. The sand whiting is very similar to the Golden line Whiting and Northern Whiting.

FlatheadThe Dusky Flathead is commonly around Queensland including Coochie. They are very similar to bar tailed Flathead and Northern Sand Flathead. Their size ranges from 20 cm to 131 cm. They are found in land forms such as bays, sandbanks and estuaries.
